House Concerts

with Wilson and Wilson

Imagine this: A lovely afternoon or evening with a small group of your closest friends- eating, drinking, socializing. After a while, we'll bring the lights down and play some music especially for you- a concert where your interaction with the band is part of the show. Our house concerts are intimate, interactive. Everything from the song list to the banter is for you and your friends, and this will be a shared experience to remember for a long time . If you have never attended or hosted a house concert, we hope to inspire you to start now! 

WHAT DOES THE HOST DO FOR A HOUSE CONCERT?

We so appreciate our hosts, and want YOU to have a great time also! Hosting duties are-

1) Set up/provide an area for us to do the concert. This can be your backyard or front porch in good weather, or a corner of your living room or some such if we need to be indoors. Garages can also be a great place to set up. We do concerts for anywhere from 10-100 people in this setting, so use your judgement as to how much space you need. We'll bring the sound system and all equipment needed, and usually we'll arrive 60-90 minutes before the concert time to set up.

2) Invite your friends! We'll provide a social media event post, an email template and a short text for you to send out. You're always welcome to use your own words, but we can make it so  all you have to do is forward and share!

3) Bathroom check, parking check, any snacks/drinks you want to put out, set up the chairs or place for guests to put their chairs.

Make your life easier tips: *Have your guests bring their own chairs, blankets or stools to sit on.

*Invite guests to an outdoor concert to bring a cooler of drinks and/or snacks.

Extra Pro Tip: Make sure your most gossipy neighbor knows what's happening- they'll help you promote, and they won't call the cops on the noise and extra cars!  :)

House Concert FAQ

WHERE-WHAT STATES OR TOWNS OR COUNTRIES- DO YOU DO HOUSE CONCERTS?

We live outside of Austin, TX, so we do concerts anywhere in Texas for sure. But, we love to travel and will take any excuse to get out on the road and see new places. Our business is mobile and we usually travel in an RV. We have many family and friends all over the country from our years of traveling and playing music, so just try us- we'd love to come and visit you!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HOST A HOUSE CONCERT?

The host and family are getting a free show in exchange for providing the venue! If you have a place for us to stay or park our RV, that's awesome for us, but we don't have a minimum that we charge, so we will make money from donations, sale of merch, and our own promotions. 

WHAT KIND OF SHOW WILL IT BE?

We do a variety of different types of shows, so if you have a lot of families with kids, we can do a combo concert/musical instrument petting zoo type of show. For an audience of amateur musicians, we can offer a workshop/concert combo. For fans of music in general, we will do our standard “variety” show, which includes songs across genres from traditional country, folk, bluegrass, to vintage pop and western swing tunes, all interspersed with multiple instruments, audience participation and plenty of chuckles. For the extra-fun crowd, how about the “Choose-your-own-setlist show?” The audience can decide what tunes we play, using our 200-plus song setlist. Our show is about 60-90 minutes long, and includes a minimum of commercials!
